Job Summary:
The HVAC Sales Consultant / “Comfort Advisor” is responsible for generating new business opportunities and closing sales of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems. This role requires strong sales acumen, excellent communication skills, and the ability to build relationships with customers to assess their needs and recommend suitable HVAC solutions. The consultant will work closely with the operations team to ensure seamless customer experiences.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Customer Interaction:
Engage with prospective customers via phone, email, and in-person meetings.
Provide expert advice on HVAC products and services, tailoring recommendations to customer needs.
Conduct in-home consultations to evaluate system requirements and present appropriate solutions.
Sales Process Management:
Prepare and present quotes, estimates, and financing options to potential clients.
Follow up with leads and nurture relationships to convert inquiries into sales.
Close sales while ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
Lead Generation and Business Development:
Identify and pursue new business opportunities through networking, referrals, and cold outreach.
Build and maintain relationships with contractors, real estate agents, and other industry professionals.
Attend industry events and community gatherings to promote the company and generate leads.
Product Knowledge and Training:
Stay up to date with industry trends, new technologies, and product offerings.
Participate in company training programs to enhance sales and product knowledge.
Educate customers on energy-efficient options and the benefits of various HVAC solutions.
Coordination and Reporting:
Work collaboratively with the operations team to ensure timely installation and service.
Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and transactions.
Provide regular sales reports and forecasts to management.
Required Skills/Abilities:
Strong sales and negotiation skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to build rapport and trust with customers.
Self-motivated with a goal-driven approach.
Basic knowledge of HVAC systems and the ability to learn technical details.
Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Education and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field preferred.
Previous experience in HVAC sales, home improvement sales, or a related field is preferred.
Technical knowledge or HVAC certification is a plus but not required.
