"We are seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) for a 26-week travel/contract assignment in Alameda, CA 94501 . Both local and traveler candidates are welcome to apply."

Job Details:

• Shift: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
• Guaranteed Hours: 35 hours per week
• Weekly Pay Rate: $1260 - $1470

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist the Physical Therapist in developing and implementing individualized treatment plans based on patient needs.
• Provide direct patient care through therapeutic exercises, manual therapy techniques, and the use of modalities such as ultrasound, electrical stimulation, and traction.
• Monitor and document patient progress, including response to treatment and any changes in condition.
• Educate patients and caregivers on home exercise programs, mobility techniques, and injury prevention strategies.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and facility policies while maintaining a clean and organized treatment area.
• Collaborate with Physical Therapists, doctors, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated patient care.
• Maintain up-to-date patient records and documentation as per facility guidelines and regulatory requirements.

Experience & Skills:

• Minimum Experience: 1 year of experience as a Physical Therapist Assistant in a clinical or rehabilitation setting.
• Experience in hospitals, outpatient clinics, skilled nursing facilities, or home health settings is beneficial.
• Familiarity with rehabilitation techniques for orthopedic, neurological, geriatric, and pediatric patients is preferred.
• Strong understanding of therapeutic exercises and manual therapy techniques.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adjust treatment plans as needed.

Education, License & Certification Requirements:

• Associate degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) program.
• Valid state license or certification as a Physical Therapist Assistant (required).
• CPR/BLS certification.
• Additional certifications in rehabilitation techniques or specialty therapy areas.

Travel & Local Considerations:

• Candidates outside a 50-mile radius qualify for travel pay.
