Business Management team is looking for someone to join in optimizing business performance by helping to drive key initiatives and is responsible for identifying, escalating, and mitigating business risks. The role of a business manager is dynamic and can vary from business to business, in line with the priorities of the different lines of business.
The Business Manager for the America Client F&BM and Canada is responsible for partnering with senior business leaders on strategic direction and decision making, as well as delivering value-added reporting and analysis. You will be responsible for the execution of various day-to-day business activities as well as successful end-to-end implementation of new initiatives, with a focus on increasing sales productivity and profitability. The role will be based in New York and be a member of the Asset Management Americas Client F&BM team, with additional accountability to the Head of the AM Canada business.
Job Responsibilities: - Provide a high level of responsiveness to executive ad-hoc requests related to project management, presentation development, and business analysis
- Communicate effectively with key business partners to understand projects and drive next steps
- Project manage and deliver key work streams and tasks
- Support audit, regulatory and compliance deliverables; help drive specific action plans and deliverables within the Risk Control Self-Assessment (RCSA) framework
- Participate in collaborative initiatives across the Americas Client business, looking for ways to continually simplify, improve, and add value to existing business processes
- Provide support, unbiased advice, analysis and actionable recommendations to key business partners
- End to end ownership and management of business priority projects
- Partner with other business-aligned functional areas (Client Service, Marketing, Legal, Risk & Controls, HR, Compliance, Technology and Operations) with respect to change management initiatives
- Collaborate with BM counterparts across each business on various projects
- Prepare senior management for internal and external meetings through presentation & content creation, agenda coordination, speaker preparation and logistics coordination
Required qualifications, capabilities and skills: - 3+ years' experience in the financial services industry, with exposure to Asset Management
- Excellent presentation and communication skills: delivering messages clearly and succinctly with tailored approach depending on target audience
- Ability to build strong working relationships and influence a wide range of stakeholders, including executive management
- Strong project management skills, with emphasis on controls and focus on process improvement
- Excellent analytical skills
- Pro-active and problem solving mindset with ability to identify, clearly present and implement solutions
