This is a 1-year contract with the potential to extend based on performance

Salary/Pay Rate/Compensation:
- Pay range: $40-45/hr. based on experience

What’s a typical day as a Used Car Reconditioning Technician? You’ll be:
• Contributing to the identification of target vehicles to establish a model-specific Used Car refurbishment/reconditioning program
• Conducting hands-on research and analysis of vehicle refurbishment/reconditioning menu
• Conducting cost/benefit analysis and making recommendations for refurbishment/reconditioning menu and its projected value-add to the retail price of the Used Car
• Creating a vehicle refurbishment manual to standardize approved cosmetic and mechanical reconditioning tasks
• Recording and tracking all activities and creating detailed and summarized reports and documentation
• Collaborating with project lead, management, and business development teams to execute assigned projects

This job might be an outstanding fit if you:
• Have hands-on experience with Used Car refurbishment/reconditioning process
• Understand the value of repairs and reconditioning of used cars to Used Car sales price
• Have hands-on experience at a Used Car operation, such as CarMax or Carvana, and have been involved in the decision-making process to prepare a Used Car for sale
• Have knowledge about the vehicle auction process and valuation of Used Cars
• Are detailed-oriented and capable of tracking and recording vehicle reconditioning items and costs to create usable datasets for future business planning
• Have a "can-do" attitude, are proactive, and willing to learn for those looking to make a transition to a planning role
• Have experience with documentation in Powerpoint, Excel, and Word
• Are available to work fully on-site or at a partner location, Monday to Friday, for 40 hours per week
