Job Title: Triage Registered Nurse
Start Date: December 2024
Pay Rate: $36.00 - $40.00 per hour
Location: 100% Remote
Schedule:
Full-time: 8:00 AM - 7:00 PM PST / 11:00 AM - 10:00 PM EST (4x10 hour shifts, 3-week rotation, 1 weekend required per rotation)
Part-time overnight: 20 hours per week, between 7:00 PM - 4:00 AM PST / 10:00 PM - 7:00 AM EST (2-week rotation, 1 weekend required per rotation)
Training: 10:00 AM - 7:00 PM EST (2 weeks required, both full-time and part-time)

Job Overview:
We're seeking a compassionate and experienced Triage Registered Nurse to join our remote team. As a Triage RN, you'll play a key role in providing timely and empathetic care to patients, helping them navigate medical needs with clear guidance and support. You'll work collaboratively with our team, ensuring every patient receives the highest level of care, whether they need immediate assistance or are seeking advice on their health concerns.
Key Responsibilities:
Respond Promptly: Answer patient calls in a warm, professional manner, establishing a connection while delivering prompt, standardized care and benefits navigation.
Assess Symptoms & Direct Care: Conduct thorough clinical assessments of symptoms to determine the appropriate care level needed, and refer patients as necessary, using established guidelines.
Educate & Communicate: Explain care recommendations in a clear, patient-friendly manner, helping patients understand their options and next steps.
Provide Ongoing Support: Guide members to internal and external resources, including benefits and community services, as needed.
Provide Urgent Care Support: Assist with urgent prescription needs and escalate emergency situations as required.
Collaborate with Team: Participate in team meetings, offering input for continuous quality improvement to enhance patient care and service.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required.
Licensure: Current RN licensure in a compact state, with the ability to obtain licensure in all 50 states.
Experience:
At least 2 years of experience in a triage setting (phone triage preferred) or
2+ years in an emergency room or
4+ years in an ambulatory primary care role with triage experience.
Skills & Abilities:
Advanced clinical decision-making and problem-solving skills, especially in situations involving uncertainty.
Ability to engage effectively with diverse patient populations, including both pediatric and adult patients.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to gather clinical history, answer questions, and summarize findings succinctly.
Proficient in using various computer and medical record systems, including Google Suite.
Ability to work efficiently, balancing quality care with performance metrics in a fast-paced environment.
Work Schedule Flexibility: Willingness to work in the PST timezone and participate in a rotating weekend and holiday schedule.
