OPD is looking for an enthusiastic individual with an interest and passion for learning and development to serve as a Staff Services Analyst (SSA).
As an SSA, you will have the opportunity to provide technical, analytical, and administrative support to the OPD. In the process, you will acquire knowledge and practical experience in working with learning professionals involved in the development of new training initiatives, working with the Operations Team performing various duties involved with logistics related to classroom preparation, and serving on various teams immersed in managing projects.
Under the close supervision of the Staff Services Manager I, you will be responsible for performing daily assignments to support the OPD Operations Team, statewide training staff, and managers. As a member of the Operations team, you will be responsible for creating, updating, and maintaining hardcopy and digital files and records. You will assist with compliance tracking using Excel and assist with registration using excellent customer service with clear and concise communication. Furthermore, you will assist trainers with various tasks including delivering high quality training, designing curriculum (such as eLearning), facilitating activities, and engaging in marketing and outreach efforts. The SSA in OPD will provide administrative support for the Supervisor Development Program (SDP), Emerging Leader Program (ELP), Aspiring Executive Program (AEP), and other various efforts as needed.
Please note that the Staff Services Analyst classification contains multiple salary ranges. New-to-State employees will be given the minimum salary of Range A, unless you meet an . This position has been designated as eligible for telework and is currently a remote centered position. The position will however require in-person attendance on a recurring basis. The selected candidate would report to Department of Justice headquarters in Sacramento when required for job functions, in-person meetings, trainings, etc. Expenses related to travel to the office when required are the responsibility of the employee.
