Job Description

A remote Senior Trade Compliance Specialist job is currently available at Belcan. This is a full time, direct job with full benefits. Great matching candidates will have work experience in the areas of import and export Trade Compliance and experience performing Jurisdiction & Classification. You will be performing Jurisdiction & Classification to ensure Trade Compliance in areas like aerospace and defense as well as verifying the correct Jurisdiction & Classification by junior team members. Job Duties:

• * Act as a point of contact, providing assistance with Trade Compliance activities
• Gather information to ensure the proper jurisdiction, determination and classification of products
• Verify that the proper jurisdiction, determination and classification is being performed by other team members.
• Perform Jurisdiction and Classification (J&C) in customer systems in accordance with the ITAR and/or EAR of Hardware, Tech Data, Software and Defense Services.
• Work within a team to perform duties with regular correspondence
• Regular, consistent and punctual attendance is required. May need to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) and additional hours as necessary

Required Qualifications:

• * Knowledge and experience with import/export Trade Compliance procedures and regulations, specifically familiarity with ITAR, EAR, HTS and Schedule B determinations.
• Detail oriented, good organizational skills and the ability to prioritize with changing situations
• Ability to recognize and solve typical problems and select solutions from established options
• Good interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills to drive tasks to completion
• Knowledge of MS Office Suite
• Bachelor"s degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area
• US citizenship required

Preferred Qualifications & Skills: * * 4-year Bachelor"s degree, Bachelors of Science in Engineering or related degree preferred. Compensation: We provide a competitive pay and benefits package. This position is offering a salary rate of $52,000 to $92,000 however, Belcan considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to education, experience, geographic location, and discipline.
