Growing together.** If you reside within the state of **Illinois** , you will enjoy the flexibility to telecommute* as you take on some tough challenges. **Primary Responsibilities:** + Design and implement scalable, secure, and resilient cloud-native applications using AWS services (e.g., Lambda, ECS, RDS, DynamoDB, S3) + Develop backend systems and APIs using modern programming languages (e.g., Python, Java, Node.js) + Lead architectural decisions and code reviews to ensure high-quality software delivery + Oversee the design and maintenance of CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or AWS CodePipeline + Manage infrastructure as code (IaC) using Terraform + Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions (e.g., CloudWatch, Datadog, ELK) + Ensure cloud infrastructure follows security best practices and compliance standards + Lead and mentor a cross-functional team of software and DevOps engineers + Collaborate with product managers, QA, and stakeholders to align technical solutions with business goals + Drive continuous improvement in development processes, deployment strategies, and team performance + Manage project timelines, resource allocation, and team growth You'll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in. **Required Qualifications:** + Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field + 8+ years of hands-on experience with AWS services (EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, VPC, etc.) + 5+ years of experience/strong understanding of networking, security, and cloud architecture principles + 3+ years of experience/familiarity with monitoring tools like CloudWatch, Datadog, or Prometheus **Preferred Qualifications:** + Experience with containerization (Docker, ECS, EKS) and orchestration tools + Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell *All Telecommuters will be required to adhere to UnitedHealth Group's Telecommuter Policy. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The salary for this role will range from $89,900 to $160,600 annually based on full-time employment.
