**Recruiting & HR Coordinator**
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Recruiting & HR Coordinator to support attorney and professional staff recruiting, as well as other human resources activities. This role is essential for ensuring the smooth execution of recruiting, onboarding, and professional development initiatives. The position reports to the Manager of Firm Talent and Recruiting.
**Location:** Washington, DC or New York, NY
**Job Type:** Temporary to Permanent | Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm EST, Hybrid, 3 days in office and 2 days remote.
**Compensation:** $33.65 an hour ($70,000 base salary)
**Responsibilities:**
- Monitor the Careers inbox daily and create candidate profiles.
- Review applications for completeness and ensure they meet minimum requirements.
- Track candidate application statuses, interview evaluations, and offers extended.
- Schedule in-person and virtual interviews for candidates.
- Draft and send candidate communications, including interview confirmations and rejection letters.
- Coordinate with local admin teams regarding interviews and recruiting events.
- Provide onsite support for in-person interviews and recruiting events.
- Manage the recruiting cycle calendar and maintain search firm fee agreements.
- Coordinate new hire orientation schedules and assist with preliminary onboarding activities.
- Track attorney bar and court admissions, CLE certificates, and compliance periods.
- Assist with CLE accreditation applications and attendance tracking for internal CLE events.
- Create, test, and manage credentials for new hires and employees.
- Support the annual performance management process and professional development initiatives.
- Assist with ad hoc recruiting and HR projects and serve as a backup to local admin teams.
**Qualifications:**
- BA/BS degree required.
- 1+ years of recruiting and/or HR experience at a law firm.
- Experience interacting directly with attorneys and partners.
- Excellent communication, customer service, and organizational skills.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize effectively, and work independently.
- Strong attention to detail and time management skills.
- Proficiency in relevant software platforms; willingness to learn additional platforms.
- Ability to anticipate needs and take initiative with minimal supervision.
- Collaborative mindset and ability to work across offices.
