Pay Grade:TPW

This is temporary or hourly paid work performing professional health care services. Positions in this job are established for less than 9 months or scheduled for less than 30 hours per week and are not eligible for benefits if the position status is temporary (i.e., SCOA 513). Positions in this job are established for greater than 9 months and scheduled for greater than 30 hours per week if the position status is permanent labor (i.e., SCOA 512). Normally permanent labor positions are eligible for Health Insurance benefits.

As a  PRAMS Interviewer   within the  Division of Epidemiology at the Georgia Department of Public Health ,  you will join a dedicated group of public health professionals that help support the overall mission and vision of protecting lives of Georgian residents in a variety of ways.   

 

  • Conduct follow up telephone interviews with PRAMS sample members and record respondents’ answers to scripted questions in an online survey software.
  • Schedule telephone interview appointments and keep accurate records of telephone contacts.
  • Assist with preparing survey materials and mail operations.
  • Maintain confidentiality and privacy of telephone interviews and mail materials.
  • Assist with data entry using the PRAMS Integrated Data Collection System (or back-up system).
  • Assist the PRAMS Coordinator and PRAMS team with other activities as needed.
  • Participate in PRAMS human subjects training and all other trainings required by GDPH and the PRAMS program.
  • Adhere to the PRAMS protocol.
  • Other duties as assigned.

High School diploma or equivalent required
OR
Two years of completed college coursework or an associate degree in public health, or a related health or social science field, preferred

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with data entry and telephone interviewing or telephone customer service work is preferred.
  • Spanish speaking
  • Ability to stay on task while maintaining thoughtful attentiveness to detail and complete tasks in a timely manner while working independently.
  • Prior work with GDPH surveillance activities.

DPH accepts educational credential recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) and/or the US Department of Education (DOE) will be considered. DPH will contact educational institutions to verify degree, diploma, licensure, etc.
