Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and highly organized Medical Records Specialist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in medical record management, experience with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems, and a minimum of three years of administrative experience in an office environment. This role will require travel to healthcare offices and offers a hybrid work arrangement in Rancho Cucamonga, CA.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage, organize, and update patient medical records in compliance with healthcare regulations and confidentiality standards.
  • Utilize EMR systems to input, retrieve, and update medical data accurately.
  • Collect and verify healthcare data from various EMR systems for analysis and reporting.
  • Assist with audits, reporting, and quality assurance related to medical records and healthcare documentation.
  • Travel to healthcare offices as needed for record retrieval and documentation management.
  • Communicate effectively with healthcare providers, patients, and other departments regarding medical records.
  • Demonstrate proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite to maintain documentation and perform administrative tasks.
  • Ensure all records are processed in a timely manner and comply with HIPAA regulations and healthcare standards.
  • Provide superior interpersonal and administrative support, leveraging your experience to support team operations.

Key Qualifications:

  • Minimum of three (3) years of administrative experience in an office environment.
  • At least one (1) year of experience in healthcare data collection from various Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems.
  • Strong experience with EMR systems and proficiency in medical record management.
  • HEDIS experience is a plus, but not required.
  • Must have a valid California Driver's license and valid automobile insurance
  • Associate's degree or higher.
  • Superior interpersonal and administrative skills with a demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior experience working with HEDIS or similar healthcare metrics is beneficial.
  • Experience in healthcare quality reporting and audits is a plus.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a hybrid work environment.
