Position Overview

We are seeking a creative and driven Landscape Sales Designer with a minimum of 2 years of experience in landscape design and sales. The ideal candidate will have a passion for outdoor design, a strong sales acumen, and the ability to create and sell custom landscape solutions that exceed client expectations.

The Landscape Sales/Designer will be responsible for meeting with clients to create custom and lasting designs, presenting pricing and closing the deal for their dream landscape projects. You will be expected to generate leads, close sales, and manage your client relationships to ensure customer satisfaction.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Identify own leads and respond to company-generated leads to develop accounts for new sales opportunities resulting in achieving monthly, quarterly, and annual sales goals.
  • Meet with clients to understand their needs, preferences, and budgets for outdoor spaces.
  • Design creative, functional, and visually appealing landscape plans tailored to each client’s requirements using industry-standard design software and tools.
  • Prepare proposals, estimates, and presentations to communicate design concepts effectively to clients.
  • Close sales by addressing client concerns, providing expert guidance, and negotiating contracts.
  • Collaborate with installation crews, and subcontractors to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Manage multiple projects and deadlines while maintaining attention to detail and client satisfaction.
  • Special projects and other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in landscape design and sales.
  • Proficiency in landscape design software (e.g., ProLandscape, AutoCAD, SketchUp, or similar) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong understanding of plants, materials, and construction techniques.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interact with clients and team members.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Ability to manage time effectively and handle multiple priorities.
  • A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to visit client sites.
  • Degree or certification in Landscape Design, Horticulture, or a related field is preferred but not required.
  • Must be able to lift/carry materials up to 50 lbs and move about the work site in all weather conditions.
  • Must pass a background and drug screening.
