Location: Jacksonville, FL (On-site)
Duration: Summer Internship

Position Summary: A support role for Production Department on activities involving team based problem-solving, waste elimination, set-up reduction, key metric tracking and job hazard analysis creation and documenting SOPs.
Duties
- Lead team-based waste elimination problem-solving projects and support with data analysis.
- Lead team-based set-up reduction projects and support with data analysis.
- Develop and track key performance metrics and automate the data update processes.
- Work with Leads and operators to draft, revise, approve Job Hazard Analysis documents.
- Draft and revise SOPs to capture improvements resulting from projects.
- Prepare weekly progress reports to share with Management.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Education/Experience
- Must be enrolled in Engineering Program at an accredited university
- Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite
- Detail-oriented, Organized, and eager for results
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience in project management, preferred
