Position Overview:
The Housing Navigator will work closely with clients to assess their housing needs, assist in locating suitable housing options, and provide ongoing support to ensure housing stability. This role involves collaboration with various stakeholders, including landlords, community organizations, and government agencies.
Key Responsibilities:
• Client Assessment: Conduct thorough assessments to determine clients’ housing needs and eligibility for assistance programs.
• Housing Search Assistance: Aid clients in identifying and securing appropriate housing by providing information on available units and facilitating the application process.
• Landlord Relations: Establish and maintain positive relationships with landlords and property managers to expand housing opportunities for clients.
• Program Compliance: Ensure all housing placements comply with relevant federal, state, and local regulations, as well as organizational policies.
• Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records, including case notes, housing applications, and related documentation.
• Support Services: Collaborate with case managers and other service providers to connect clients with additional resources, such as financial assistance, counseling, and employment services.
Qualifications:
