Job Title: Histology Technician
Location: New York, NY 10065
Contract: 24 Weeks
Shift: Monday – Friday, 1:00 PM – 9:00 PM
Pay: $1,800 weekly (travel pay)
"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking Histology Technician for an exciting Travel job in New York, NY.
ResponsibilitiesGross small biopsy and routine specimens under supervision
Prepare tissue samples for microscopic examination, including processing, embedding, cutting, staining, and slide mounting
Ensure specimen quality control and accurate labeling
Maintain and troubleshoot laboratory equipment in compliance with safety standards
Collaborate with pathologists, pathology assistants, and laboratory staff
Adhere to HIPAA, Joint Commission, and all departmental policies
Education
Associate’s Degree in Science and completion of an accredited Histology program
OR Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent experience) in a related field
Licensure/Certification
Valid NY State Clinical Laboratory Technologist License
OR Certified Histology Technician / Clinical Lab Technician certification issued by the NYS Education Department
Experience
Minimum 2–3 years of recent experience in histology
Experience handling biopsy and dermatology specimens preferred
