Job Description
Ciprani Consulting is partnering with a well-established and highly respected funeral home in the Montgomery County/Greater Philadelphia area to find a Funeral Director who embodies compassion, professionalism, and attention to detail.
We’re looking for someone who brings both heart and initiative — an individual who takes pride in ensuring that each service is handled with care, precision, and respect. This position offers mentorship, stability, and a genuine opportunity to develop into a trusted leader within a longstanding organization.
Compensation:
• Salary Range: $75,000 – $90,000 (based on experience)
• Paid time off and a supportive work environment
• Ongoing professional mentorship and growth opportunities
Responsibilities:
Minimal on-call professional responsibilities with full-time support and removal staff. The right person will not be punching the clock; the right person has extreme ownership over their operation and makes sure all families and employees are taken care of first.
Supporting Families with Care • Meet with families to guide them through available service options, pricing, and planning details.
• Provide compassionate support and ensure every interaction is handled with empathy and professionalism.
• Assist with gathering authorizations and completing required legal forms.
Coordinating Services • Help organize funeral, memorial, and graveside services, managing details such as scheduling, transportation, music, floral arrangements, and coordination with clergy.
• Prepare the deceased for viewing and ensure each service runs seamlessly.
Handling Documentation & Records • Complete and file death certificates, burial permits, insurance claims, and other necessary documents.
• Keep accurate and confidential records for both at-need and pre-need clients.
• Ensure all work complies with state laws and industry standards.
Operational & Facility Support • Help maintain the funeral home’s facilities and ensure they are welcoming and organized.
• Monitor inventory and supplies, coordinating with vendors when needed.
• Support the senior team in daily operations and uphold the funeral home’s high service standards.
Community Presence • Represent the funeral home at community events and build meaningful relationships within the area.
• Contribute to educational and outreach initiatives that build trust and awareness.
Qualifications:
• Licensed Funeral Director in the State of Pennsylvania (REQUIRED). • 3+ years of experience in funeral service or a completed internship.
• Strong communicator with genuine compassion and poise.
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and dependable.
• Eager to learn, take initiative, and grow within a collaborative team.
• Comfortable working evenings, weekends, and being on-call as part of a service-driven environment.
About Company:
Ciprani Consulting is partnering with a respected funeral home in the Greater Philadelphia area to identify their next exceptional Funeral Director. This establishment has built a reputation on compassionate service, professionalism, and community trust.
