Job Title: FAI Quality Specialist Pay Rate: $30.00-35.00/hour, direct with full benefits Location: Middle River, MD 21220 Area Code: 443 Shift: 1st #firstarticleinspection #qualityengineering #manufacturingjobs We are seeking a Quality Specialist to join our team onsite at our large aviation customer. This role involves managing quality functions for assigned programs, ensuring compliance with AS9102 standards, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive process improvements. Candidates with strong shop floor, machining, and quality engineering backgrounds are highly encouraged to apply. Key Responsibilities:

• Independently manage specific quality functions for assigned program(s) or area(s).
• Create AS9102 reports using Net-Inspect.
• Verify build processes against AS9102C/S1002 standards for programs.
• Develop product and process audits for inspectors to utilize.
• Define additional in-process inspection steps as needed and enter them into SAP.
• Identify build operations where quality issues cannot be detected downstream.
• Review High Risk Priority Numbers (RPNs) from FMEA assessments.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineering on generating or reviewing FMEA documentation.
• Work with M.E. to create and execute action plans to address RPN scores, driving improvement initiatives.

Core Qualifications:

• Bachelor"s degree in engineering or manufacturing with at least 3 years of experience in manufacturing or quality engineering.
• Experience with first article inspections (FAI) and associated documentation.
• Exposure to FMEA
• Ability to work onsite in a collaborative team setting.
• U.S. Citizenship is required due to the nature of the work.

Desired Skills:

• Six Sigma certification or equivalent quality training.
• CNC programming experience, particularly with NX or MasterCam.
