Industrial Color is looking for a seasoned and innovative Creative Retail Graphic Designer to partner with our luxury beauty client. In this role you will lead the development of dynamic and visually striking in-store displays, branding materials, and merchandising strategies. This role requires a visionary designer who can seamlessly blend creativity with strategic thinking to elevate the brand’s visual presence across all retail environments. This role will work in a hybrid capacity, 3 days per week onsite at our client in Greenwich Village.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the conceptualization and design of all in-store visual merchandising displays, including window displays, point-of-purchase materials, and promotional signage, ensuring alignment with brand vision and marketing objectives.
- Develop and oversee the production of graphic elements for various retail formats, ensuring consistency and high-quality output across all stores.
- Collaborate with the marketing, product, and retail teams to design and execute seasonal campaigns and new product launches that captivate customers and enhance the shopping experience.
- Lead brainstorming and concept development sessions to introduce innovative design ideas and visual merchandising strategies that set the brand apart.
- Partner with Retail Design and Visual Merchandising teams to ensure seamless execution of visual merchandising strategies in line with store layouts and product placement needs.
- Stay ahead of design trends, and introduce new and fresh approaches to visual merchandising.
- Ensure projects are completed within timelines and budget constraints, maintaining strong organizational and project management skills.

Requirements
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Merchandising, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in visual merchandising, graphic design, or a similar role in a retail environment.
- Expert proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
- Strong portfolio showcasing expertise in retail design, visual merchandising, and branding.
- In-depth understanding of typography, color theory, and layout, with a strong focus on creating customer-centric designs.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Knowledge of print production processes and the ability to work closely with vendors for high-quality output.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a deep understanding of branding, customer behavior, and retail design trends.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with 3D design software such as SketchUp, AutoCAD, or similar tools for store planning and display design.
- Experience working with beauty, luxury or fashion brands.
- Knowledge of e-commerce design trends and how they intersect with retail environments.
Benefits
The anticipated salary range for this role is $80,000 - $95,000 annually. Ranges are based on various factors including the labor market, job type, internal equity, and budget. Exact offers are calibrated by work location, individual candidate experience, and skills relative to the defined job requirements.
