Job Description

Labor Finders of Austell is looking for a carpenter. Someone who builds and repairs structures using wood and other materials. You will be working on construction sites, in workshops, and may also meet with clients. 

Responsibilities 

• Follow regulations: Ensure compliance with building codes, safety regulations, and zoning laws

• Communicate: Liaise with clients, suppliers, and other tradespeople

• Train: Teach junior carpenters and construction helpers

• Troubleshoot: Help resolve construction issues

• Calculate: Estimate costs and quotes for customers

• Design and install: Create and install structures like walls, floors, cabinets, and doors
• Inspect and repair: Check for damage and replace damaged parts
• Prepare: Take measurements, prepare the site, and source materials

Skills

• Physical: Able to handle heavy materials and tools, and work at heights 

• Technical: Can read and interpret designs, and use power tools 

• Safety-conscious: Follows safety guidelines and is aware of potential hazards 

• Collaborative: Can work well with others and communicate effectively 

Working conditions 

• Carpenters may work outdoors year-round

• They may be exposed to dust, fumes, odors, and loud noises
