Job Title: Senior Business Analyst

Job Type: Contract (4 Months, with Possibility of Extension)

Location: Remote

Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Business Analyst to support the implementation of complex, emerging technology hardware and software projects. The ideal candidate will be responsible for business analysis, requirements gathering, documentation, and supporting user acceptance testing for various software implementation projects, including SaaS, COTS applications, data migration, and data warehouse development. This role requires a proactive, analytical professional who can work independently with minimal supervision while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform business analysis for software development projects, including gathering and documenting requirements.
• Develop and maintain project documentation, including functional and technical specifications.
• Facilitate interactive sessions with business and technical teams to define project requirements.
• Conduct requirements elicitation, prototyping, use case development, and data modeling.
• Assess and document production support issues, including root cause analysis and system corrections.
• Collaborate with business and functional teams to develop and complete user acceptance testing, training, and implementation activities.
• Ensure all deliverables align with business needs and follow best practices in business analysis methodologies.
• Support process improvement initiatives and contribute to designing more efficient workflows.

Required Qualifications:

• 8+ years of business analysis experience in software development projects.
• 8+ years of experience in technical writing, MS Office Suite, and prototyping tools (Visio, SnagIt, Adobe Illustrator, Axure, etc.).
• 8+ years of hands-on experience with requirements gathering, client management, traceability, and documentation.
• 8+ years of experience facilitating interactive sessions with business and cross-functional teams.
• 8+ years of expertise in analyzing production support issues and determining system/data corrections.
• 8+ years of experience in defining functional and system specifications and reviewing/delivering completed packages.
• 8+ years of ability to develop and execute user acceptance testing and training strategies.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with mainframe environments, SQL, Salesforce, Remedyforce, Java/J2EE, and relational databases.
• Experience with process improvement methodologies and leading organizational change.
• Background in the Oil & Gas industry or compliance/enforcement projects.
• Strong ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and resolve conflicts effectively.
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience).
