Overview: The BCBA Consultant plays a pivotal role in delivering quality ABA services to children with autism, ensuring client progress, adherence to treatment plans, and seamless collaboration with RBTs and BTs. This position directly contributes to our mission by maintaining client success, increasing billable hours, and supporting the clinical team in reaching the company’s strategic growth objectives.
Client Billable Hours : Maintain at least 80% client billable hours scheduled per week for all assigned cases (Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, Time-bound).
POC Completion and Submissions : Complete and submit 100% of Plans of Care (POCs) at least 45 days before due date (Measurable, Time-bound).
Supervision Rate Compliance : Ensure 10% supervision rate is met for all assigned clients monthly (Specific, Relevant, Time-bound).
Client Supervision and Data Oversight:
Provide a minimum of 27 billable hours per week across assigned cases while maintaining 80% billable scheduled hours or higher for clients per week. Overseeing 6 to 10 clients
Supervise BTs and RBTs, ensuring accurate data collection, proper program implementation, and adherence to reinforcement schedules.
Conduct Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs) and design Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) for clients exhibiting maladaptive behaviors. Maintain all data and program records in Central Reach.
Documentation and Compliance:
Complete and submit Plans of Care (POCs) at least 45 days prior to expiration and provide copies to the billing manager.
Maintain detailed programs in Central Reach, including descriptions of each target, data collection methods, and reinforcement strategies.
Ensure monthly supervision documentation is completed for all RBTs and BTs under your supervision.
Parent and Team Collaboration:
Provide monthly parent training sessions, ensuring parents are engaged in their child’s progress and capable of reinforcing ABA strategies at home.
Attend and contribute to all BCBA and all-staff meetings , sharing insights and collaborating with the clinical team on best practices and challenges.
Supervision and Performance Monitoring:
Conduct bimonthly reviews of key responsibilities and KPIs for assigned RBTs and BTs, fostering accountability and performance improvements.
Meet a minimum of 10% supervision for each client monthly, ensuring quality of care and compliance with BACB standards.
Behavioral Program Development and Monitoring:
Develop, implement, and monitor long-term and short-term learning targets for clients, ensuring all goals are aligned in the Learning Tree within Central Reach.
Adjust programs as needed to address skill acquisition and behavior reduction based on data trends.
Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification (required)
Master’s degree in Applied Behavior Analysis, Psychology, or a related field (required)
Current NC licensure or the ability to obtain NC licensure within a specified timeframe (required)
3+ years of experience as a BCBA, preferably in a clinical setting providing services to children with autism.
Proficiency in Central Reach or other ABA data management systems.
Demonstrated experience conducting FBAs and developing BIPs .
Strong knowledge of ABA principles and experience supervising a team of RBTs and BTs.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, particularly in delivering parent training and team collaboration.
Analytical Thinking: Ability to interpret data and adjust programs based on measurable trends.
Detail-Oriented: Precision in documentation, program development, and maintaining compliance.
Leadership: Strong supervision skills, providing constructive feedback to RBTs and BTs, and fostering team growth.
Collaboration: Work effectively with cross-functional teams, including RBTs, BTs, parents, and other BCBAs.
Time Management: Capable of handling multiple cases while maintaining timely submissions of POCs and supervision forms.
