#### About the Role:
We are looking for a detail-oriented and motivated Billing Administrator to join our growing team. In this role, you will play a key part in managing the billing process, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and timely collections. You will collaborate with internal teams and clients to maintain strong relationships, provide exceptional service, and support financial operations.
#### Key Responsibilities:
- Review construction contracts and document contract-specific billing requirements.
- Work closely with internal teams to manage billing processes and ensure timely cash collection.
- Analyze contract terms, billing instructions, and special conditions to ensure compliance with budgets and billing schedules.
- Collaborate with Project Managers and key stakeholders to manage contracts, change orders, and billing adjustments.
- Oversee monthly and quarterly billing cycles, ensuring invoices are accurate and submitted on time.
- Generate, review, and submit invoices according to contract terms and client requirements.
- Address and resolve billing discrepancies to ensure smooth and timely collections.
- Work with Accounts Payable to obtain lien waivers from required vendors.
- Conduct consistent follow-ups on outstanding invoices and escalate issues as needed.
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing, including WIP reporting, vendor follow-ups, and audit support.
- Identify and recommend process improvements to enhance billing efficiency and accuracy.
- Maintain organized project billing records and documentation.
- Support forecasting for billing and cash collections for assigned business segments.
#### What We're Looking For:
- 5+ years of experience in billing or accounting, preferably in the construction industry.
- Associate degree in Business or Accounting preferred; Bachelor's degree is a plus.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, particularly accounts receivable.
- Experience with construction contracts and billing processes.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and accounting software (Acumatica a plus).
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong customer service and teamwork skills.
