Job Description

Spring Mill Country Club is hiring energetic and dedicated Bartenders for Restaurant and Banquet Events. Candidates must have a professional appearance and experience as a bartender. The ideal candidate will put pride in their work, be reliable, possess the ability to follow directions, and be always friendly and professional.

Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality industry, employees will be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the Country Club.

Essential Functions:

• Personally demonstrate a commitment to guest service by responding to guest needs and concerns; be committed to making every guest satisfied.
• Responsible for accurate recording of all transactions including payment type and tips.
• Maintains proper and adequate set-up of the bar daily. This includes requisitioning and stocking of all beer, wine, spirits, paper products, straws and stirrers, condiments and produce based on projections from the daily functions sheet
• Responsible for maintaining stock, cutting, and storing all fresh fruit and vegetable garnishes, juices, and other perishables daily to ensure product quality
• Mixes, garnishes and presents drinks using standard ingredient recipes and practicing prudent portion control. Check guests for proper identification. Detect and act upon guest inebriation as trained. Demonstrate knowledge of liquor laws.
• Locks up and stores all beverages, food, and other equipment items, deposits cash drops and secures bank.

In addition to these essential functions, the Bartender must be able to constantly walk and stand. Bartenders are also required to adhere to safety and security procedures that are set forth by the company.

Specific Skills and Abilities:

• Must be a team player and help where ever need.
• Ability to communicate and interact with both team members and guests.
• Basic knowledge of food & beverage preparations, service standards, guest relations, and etiquette
• Ability to perform under pressure effectively for extensive periods while maintaining professionalism.
• Must have basic knowledge of mathematics to correctly process all transactions such as the handling of money, making changes to orders, and accurately billing all guests.

Spring Mill Country Club is a private 18-hole golf course that is also home to Judd's and Jackson's Restaurant, a casual family-friendly restaurant featuring seasonal American cuisine. Our banquet rooms host numerous private parties including bridal and baby showers as well as weddings and funeral luncheons.
