Job Description



AECOM  is seeking an experienced Architectural Designer to be based in our Los Angeles, CA or Orange, CA office.

AECOM’s Buildings + Places  practice includes architecture, interiors, building engineering, workplace strategy, business transformation, asset advisory, economics and development planning, master planning, urban planning, and landscape architecture.

With a range of expertise from strategy and design through project realization, we create better outcomes to grow economies, protect natural systems, conserve natural resources, make societies more equitable and connect and engage people through innovative, sustainable design solutions.

Our teams have worked on signature projects such as the London 2012 Olympic Park and Legacy Framework, to the new plan for the LA2028 Olympics, to industrial facilities for GE and Rolls-Royce, to headquarters and workplaces for NASA, Unilever, Sony Music, DirecTV, Box, Inc. and many Fortune 500 companies.

The Architectural Designer will be responsible for the following items:

  • Perform and document architectural conceptual and schematic design, design development, construction documentation, and documentation for Construction Administration team support as directed.
  • Providing architectural drafting, calculations, analysis, studies and recommendations for a specialized segment of the Architectural Discipline within the schedules and budget of an assigned project.
  • Coordinate with interior designers, engineers, and other disciplines as directed to complete projects efficiently.
  • May work on medium to large size projects and/or assist Project Architectural Prepare renderings utilizing Adobe CS Suite (Illustrator, In-Design, Photoshop) and Revit

Qualifications



Minimum Requirements

  • BA/BS in Architecture or related field plus four (4) years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education

Preferred

Qualifications

  • Commercial project experience is also preferred
  • Fluency in Revit.
  • Experienced with other design tools such as SketchUp, Rhino, and/or Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Actively pursuing licensure
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
