This position will support various administrative services, including but not limited to, human resources, fiscal services, contract management, procurement, and grant management programs managed by SRO and other offices. Under general direction of the Southern Region Office (SRO) Manager, Principal Engineer, Water Resources (WR), the Staff Services Manager I (SSM I) will serve as the Administration Branch Manager and act as the primary advisor to the SRO Manager for all administrative matters. The SSM I is responsible for a full range of sensitive and complex business administration activities, such as planning, organizing, and directing all administrative services and staff activities related to budgets, accounting, fiscal management, human resources, personnel management, policy analysis and formulation, labor relations, payroll, grant program activities, safety, training, travel, office services, supplies & equipment, property management, building maintenance, records retention, contracts, and procurement. The SSM I act as a liaison between SRO and Division of Regional Assistance and other Divisions and Offices within the Department.
